The Village Board reaffirmed a plan to fix some more cemetery stones. Three stones were fixed last fall for a price of $500-- half of earlier estimates. Three more stones are being considered for repair, at a similar price.
This is great. There are also a few trees that are dead (or dying) that should be taken down. On friday May 6th, I hope to get my Scohoharie County History Students back up to the Cemetery for another workday. I would love to have anyone that likes to work join us...:) I always give my tour of the Cemetery and the Middleburgh Historical Society usually provides lunch. Wes Laraway www.redmaplefarm.net
