Public Hearing on Traffic Law Announced

The Village Board announced that it will hold a public hearing on its revisions of the municipal traffic law on Monday, December 13th at 7:00 pm at the Municipal Building. Residents are encourage to attend to bring their input or to have any questions answered.

School Board Deadlocked over Appointment

The Middleburgh Central School Board was deadlocked over who to appoint as its newest member since Jim Barber's resignation. The Board discussed the possible appointment of Gary Hayes, Rob Roney, Lilian Bruno, Kevin Lawton, and Eric Hamm, but came to no decision. An election is scheduled for next spring to fill the vacancy.

Police Department Considered

Constabulary officer and Trustee Dr. Thomas Gruning discussed the possibility of a police-sharing deal with the Village of Schoharie in November's regular meeting. Gruning had been talking with the Mayor of Schoharie, John Borst, and explained that police coverage could be a relatively inexpensive and efficient prospect.
