Computers Donated to Village

Schoharie Central School District donated three computers and a printer to the Village of Middleburgh this week. Superintendent Brian Sherman of SCS worked with Trustee Matthew Avitabile to donate the computers, which could be used for the Planning or Zoning Boards or donated to the Middleburgh Youth Commission for summer programs.

November Village Board Meeting

The public is invited to attend the next meeting on Monday, November 1 at 7:00 pm at the Municipal Building. Parking is expected to be one of the topics discussed.

Hearing Planned for Traffic Laws

The Middleburgh Village Board plan to discuss the proposed traffic laws after a report presented by Trustees Butch Ingraham and Gerald Bowman last month. The public is invited to attend the next meeting on Monday, November 1 at 7:00 pm at the Municipal building.

Discussions for Vacancies for School Board

There have been discussions for filling the open vacancy on the Middleburgh School Board. This comes after Jim Barber was appointed to the New York State Agriculture Commission and had to retire from his seat. Gary Hayes, Rob Roney, Lilian Bruno, Kevin Lawton, and Eric Hamm were all interviewed on Wednesday for a possible appointment. The person appointed will serve until spring 2011 before a special election will be called.

Miracle on Main Street Planned

The Miracle on Main Street will take place on December 10th from 5:30 onward. The Village government will be sponsoring the event and much of the work is being done by the Renaissance Council.
