Discussions for Vacancies for School Board
There have been discussions for filling the open vacancy on the Middleburgh School Board. This comes after Jim Barber was appointed to the New York State Agriculture Commission and had to retire from his seat. Gary Hayes, Rob Roney, Lilian Bruno, Kevin Lawton, and Eric Hamm were all interviewed on Wednesday for a possible appointment. The person appointed will serve until spring 2011 before a special election will be called.

Miracle on Main Street Planned
The Miracle on Main Street will take place on December 10th from 5:30 onward. The Village government will be sponsoring the event and much of the work is being done by the Renaissance Council.

Cemetery Stones Fixed
After suggestions by the Cemetery Commissioner the Village Board okayed fixing three stones in the "Negro" Cemetery. Two were tipped over and one was falling over. The repairs were done out of the existing Cemetery budget and cost the taxpayers no additional funds. The repairs were finished on September 29.

Goings on at the Best House
During the season the Dr. Best house will be open from 10-3. The Victorian Tea will be held on Saturday, December 11th between the hours of 1 - 4. Donations are greatly appreciated.
